Western Australia took out the Open Mens division of the 2009 Indoor Open Championships, which were held earlier this month. WA saved their best for last to defeat Queensland in the Grand Final 145 - 83. Congratulations to all involved with the side and best of luck next year!
This tournament was also the first major event at which the Nitro Indoor Cricket range was used. The Nitro Cricket Store is now open again, and processing orders.
We have a backlog of orders for the Players Indoor Cricket Bat and are waiting on the arrival of new stock. Look out for Nitro Cricket Indoor Batting Gloves in the next few weeks, these will be a professional level glove specificly designed for Indoor Cricket.
Nitro Cricket Online Store will be temporarily closed from June 1st through to July 10th, as I am away on holiday.
All orders will need to placed and payment cleared by close of business Friday 29th May, for delivery prior to the closure period. I will attempt to answer email enquiries as per usual, but orders will not be dispatched during the closure.
We have just received a replenishment of the Morrant International Ultralite batting pads. These pads have a very good reputation and are a favourite of many of India’s superstars. They are currently being heavily used in the IPL, by MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar amongst many others.

Additionally we have added the SG Maxilite XL Batting Pads to our range, which are another ultra lightweight, two strap batting pad. These will be added to our store shortly.
We’ve finished migrating the Nitro Cricket Website and Shopping Cart to our new server. The move was prompted by 500 Internal Server Errors being displayed frequently, so hopefully they’re a thing of the past now! Our new hosting provider is based in Melbourne, so page loading times should also be much faster.
